"We got ready in the library at Cecil Green Park House my 6 bridesmaids, my mom, my soon-to-be-mother-in-lawand a great iPod mix blaring on the stereo"

Our wedding was set for Friday, June 26. The forecast called for rain and Id been tracking it for 2 weeks ahead of time. We were getting married at Cecil Green Park House, and everything was going to happen there; the ceremony would be on the back lawn, the reception on the patio and dinner and dancing inside the house. Even though there was a rain plan, Id always envisioned my wedding outside, so needless to say, I was stressed. On the morning of the big day, the skies cleared and it was one of those rare Vancouver summer days; blue skies, comfortable temperatures, and a clear view over the ocean - perfect!

Its funny to think about all the planning and expectations that went into the wedding, and when it was all happening, Greg and I couldnt help but laugh at all the weird and wonderful things that happening out of our control. One of our favorite photos happened completely by accident. We were moving from one location to another, I was hiking up my dress to avoid dragging the train through the grass. Greg grabbed the back of it, while I was trying to maneuver around in heels and in that moment we just looked at each other and started laughing. Tobyn captured a series of great candid shots, and one of them is now the cover of our wedding album.

The group photo of our wedding party toasting us with beer bottles perfectly captured the feeling we wanted for our wedding casual, comfortable and among friends.

When I think of our wedding day, there are so many great moments that come to mind, some touching, some embarrassing, but all wonderfully personal. I remember the way my dad reacted when he saw me for the first time in my dress and veil, it was an emotional experience for him, and we had a chance to talk for a few minute before the chaos started. He gave me some advice that Ill never forget, he said to me, do one thing everyday to let your partner know you love him.
